The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Pennsylvania and Tabor avenues when the officer said the suspect was acting suspiciously and moving as if he had just tossed an object into nearby bushes.
The man was released after the officer couldn’t locate anything but later returned to the bushes a short time later with another person, according to police. “The two appeared to be diligently searching for something,” said Fairfield police.
Both men were soon detained after police found “105 grams of suspected methamphetamine packaged into 26 smaller bindles.”
One of the pair was arrested and booked into County Jail where he faces charges for possession and parole violation.
