Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that the incident happened at approximately 12 a.m. on Sunday, resulting in the death of 44-year-old Abe Tavares Johnson of Montgomery, Ala.
Johnson was fatally injured when an 18-year-old driving a 2015 Hyundai Equus Signature struck him with the vehicle. Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Macon County 13, approximately 10 miles west of Tuskegee.
