Man pleads guilty to killing 6-year-old in McComb

MCCOMB, Miss. (WJTV) – A man pled guilty in connection to the shooting death of a six-year-old boy in McComb.

The Daily Leader reported Bryan Cameron pled guilty to second-degree murder and other charges on October 30, 2025.

Investigators said Oterious Marks, 6, was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting on February 20, 2022, while playing basketball. Four other people were injured during the shooting.

Cameron is currently serving 30 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) for a separate shooting that occurred at Southwest Mississippi Community College in September 2021.
