TDK Accounting owner accused of submitting fraudulent documents to MSDH
According to State Auditor Shad White, Verneshia Cody submitted the fraudulent documents to obtain funds via the MS COVID-19 Health Disparities Elimination Project and spent the funds for personal use.
White said Cody withdrew and spent sub-grant funds for her own personal use. She is also accused of obtaining grant funds improperly by use of fraudulent invoices, improper expense claims and counterfeit checks.
Cody faces up to $10,000 in fines and 10 years in prison, if convicted.
