CHICAGO (WGN) — A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot Sunday evening at a Burger King on the Southwest Side of Chicago, police say.

The Chicago Police Department says the incident occurred in the 4000 block of South Pulaski Road just after 7 p.m.

The teen was inside the fast-food restaurant when someone in a Jeep pulled up and fired several shots in his direction, according to police.

The boy was identified Monday morning as Rodrigo Franco.

Franco was struck in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died.
