According to Tuscumbia City Schools, the video depicts a fight between the two players in the locker room.
The TCS said that it can’t share detailed information about the incident because of privacy laws, but the system did say that the students involved received consequences consistent with the district’s code of conduct and board policy. The BOE also asked people to not share or post the video on social media.
You can read TCS’s full statement regarding the video below:
The Tuscumbia City Board of Education has been made aware of a video circulating on social media that depicts two football players fighting in the locker room. Due to student privacy laws, the District cannot provide detailed information about this incident. However, the District can confirm that the students involved received consequences consistent with the District’s Code of Conduct and Board Policy. The District wants to stress that this video depicts students, and that these students have parents and families. While we cannot stop anyone from doing so, we encourage those with the video to refrain from sharing it and posting it on social media. Continuing to share and post this video is not in the best interest of those students and their families.

Social media posts claim the fight occurred last week, but News 19 has not yet confirmed this. Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan said he was made aware of the incident Tuesday evening.
Deshler has been the center of widespread media attention for the last few months following an incident that left 15-year-old Deshler student August Borden with skull fractures. The Tuscumbia Police Department was originally investigating what happened to Borden, but it transferred the case to the Franklin County Juvenile Probation office and the Madison County District Attorney’s office.
After its investigation, the Madison County DA’s Office deemed it a “freak accident.”
