Berwick man faces charges for indecent acts, minor solicitation
Benjamin Luke Lemoine, 23, of Berwick was arrested on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile, carnal knowledge of a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
On Oct. 31, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of indecent behavior with a juvenile in the Bayou Vista area.
Officials said when they arrived at the residence, a detective met with a complainant who provided information alleging improper behavior by Lemoine involving a juvenile.
Officials said during the investigation detectives obtained digital evidence that further confirmed the claims.
Lemoine was located at a festival, where he was then placed under arrest. Today Lemoine was transported to a St. Mary Parish jail. Bail has not been set at this time.
This investigation remains ongoing.
