
In the tropics, Melissa remains a hurricane but is weakening. It will continue heading northeast, bringing impacts to Newfoundland in Canada before heading into the northern Atlantic as a non-tropical area of low pressure.
Our local forecast sees a few shower chances late Saturday into Sunday. Any rain moves east of the area by sunrise Sunday and the rest of the day will see pleasant weather for the area. Chilly mornings return for the beginning of next week. By midweek, warmer temperatures and higher humidity return to the area. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour Saturday night before you go to bed!
