
The mountains, however, stayed chilly, cloudy, windy and rainy… with a light coating of snow up at Mt. Mitchell Thursday morning. While conditions will get drier there overnight, the wind will continue to be pretty gusty, with speeds up to 45 mph at times. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the mountains until 8 a.m. Friday.
Halloween will be sunny with highs in the 60s during the day. Trick-or-treating in the evening will be bone dry with creepy cool temps in the 50s. Not too frightening!

By Saturday morning, some of you could be waking up to some frosty conditions outside as temps get even colder. A Freeze Watch is in effect for Saturday morning in the Foothills.

Weekend weather is mostly dry, but a fast-moving disturbance could bring a few showers by late Sunday afternoon. More rain is possible overnight through early Monday morning, then the rest of the week is looking pleasant and drier.
