(KRON) — The American Canyon Police Department said officers located a loaded, stolen firearm after a car was pulled over Wednesday for running a stop sign and having broken brake lights.
ACPD said the vehicle also had an unsecured infant in the back seat.
Police said they soon learned that one of the juvenile passengers had an active warrant from Solano County. A further search found the juvenile was in possession of the aforementioned stolen firearm.

They were arrested and booked into the Napa County Juvenile Hall where they face weapons and warrant-related charges.
The driver was cited for child safety violations but was released along with the other car occupants when family members brought a proper child seat to the scene.
