AAA Texas: Gas prices continue to lower as October ends
AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — As reported by the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, the average gas price across Texas was $2.59 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel on Thursday. This price is three cents less compared to last week and 10 cents less compared to the same day last year.

According to AAA Texas, drivers in El Paso and San Angelo are paying the most on average at $2.81 per gallon, while drivers in Amarillo are paying the least at $2.48 per gallon.

AAA Texas officials stated that pump prices have steadily declined this month as crude oil costs remained low due to strong supply and soft demand. Officials added that drivers could see prices go lower as November begins.

“Gas prices often remain steady or dip during the fall, and this year is no exception,” said Daniel Armbruster, spokesperson for AAA Texas. “With crude oil prices holding relatively low and demand easing, drivers may continue to see some relief at the pump heading into the upcoming busy holiday travel period.”
