Police asking for help identifying Dinkytown assault suspect

Search for assault suspect

University of Minnesota police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an assault suspect.

Police say the assault happened just before 10 p.m. on Sept. 20 near Fourth Street Southeast and 16th Avenue Southeast.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect hitting the victim multiple times before running away, police noted.

Anyone with information or who may recognize the individual is asked to contact the University of Minnesota Police Department at (612) 624-COPS and reference UMPD case number 25-271089.
