Child shot in North Philadelphia, police investigating

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — A child showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds, police announced Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to Temple University Hospital at 7:18 p.m. after a 7-year-old girl arrived by private vehicle with gunshot wounds to her arm. She is listed in stable condition.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the shooting happened on the 3000 block of North Marshall Street in Fairhill.

So far, it is not clear what caused the shooting.
