Walmart announces Black Friday event plans with first deals launching Nov. 14

Gone are the days when Black Friday meant camping out at midnight to fight someone over a discounted TV. Walmart just dropped its Black Friday game plan, and it’s splitting the annual shopping event across nearly three full weeks of discounts. The first deals drop Nov. 14, so you’ve still got time to start planning before it’s time to shop.

Walmart’s Black Friday sales are split across three events, which give you multiple chances to snag deals without FOMO — plus, Walmart+ members get early access to everything. But with three events, it’s easy to get overwhelmed (or miss out on the best deals), so planning ahead is going to be key.

Below, we break down exactly when these events are happening and how to navigate Walmart’s Black Friday so you can make the most of your holiday budget.

Walmart Black Friday Deals Event 1: Nov. 14-16

The first Black Friday event kicks off before Thanksgiving, so you can get a head start on holiday shopping. Deals start Nov. 14 and run through Sunday, Nov. 16. Walmart+ members get five hours of early access online beginning Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. ET.

Event 1 serves as Walmart’s opening salvo in the holiday shopping season, featuring deals both online and in stores.

Walmart Black Friday Deals Event 2: Nov. 25–30

The second event spans Black Friday weekend itself but begins well in advance on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 30. Deals are online only from Nov. 25-27 and both online and in stores from Nov. 28-30. Walmart+ members get five hours of early access online beginning Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. ET.

Event 2 is Walmart’s main Black Friday push with the deepest discounts and broadest selection of deals. The Tuesday start date gives shoppers several days of early access before Black Friday itself, reducing the pressure to shop on one specific day.

Cyber Monday: Dec. 1

The third and final event lands on Monday, Dec. 1, which is Cyber Monday. Deals this day are online only. Walmart+ members get five hours of early access beginning Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. ET.
