Parts of Sanger partially without water due to ‘escalating’ leak

SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Several blocks of Sanger were without water Monday night due to an “escalating” water main leak.

The leak initially affected homes near the 300 Block of West Avenue, but “due to the escalating situation,” the service interruption grew to affect homes between Greenwood Avenue and Academy Avenue and 5th Street and Church Avenue.

The announcement was made just before 6 p.m., with the city warning that residents in the area may experience a temporary water service interruption or significantly reduced water pressure.

Given the “urgent nature and complexity” of the incident, the city could not provide an estimated time for repair, but by 8:15 p.m., the city announced water had been restored.
