No injures reported after train hits vehicle in Sanger

SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An area in Sanger ended up blocked for the rest of the night after a train hit a vehicle; however, the collision did not result in any injuries.

The Sanger Police Department says officers responded to a vehicle versus train collision in the area of Academy Avenue and 7th Street in Sanger just before 10 p.m. on Friday.

According to officers, a train in the area hit a Toyota Tacoma. The driver and the passenger were able to get out of the vehicle before impact, and no injuries were reported in this incident.

Police add that traffic will be blocked in the area for about four hours.

This is an ongoing investigation.
