ABBEVILLE, La. (
KLFY) — Residents in Vermilion Parish are once again able to burn their trash.
The burn ban that was issued for the parish Oct. 16 has been rescinded, according to Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director Homer Stelly.
The ban officially lapsed at noon on Monday, officials said.
Burn bans remain in place in eight parishes in the state, including Acadia, Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Evangeline, Jeff Davis and St. Landry.
