TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Officials with Tangipahoa Parish Government have announced that a burn ban is in effect for the parish on Friday, Sept. 12.
According to parish officials, the burn ban was issued due to dry conditions in the area “resulting in dangerous fire conditions.”
Parish officials announced the emergency declaration on Friday evening. The burn ban remains in effect until further notice.
