Annual Great Pumpkin Wall is now up in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The beloved Great Pumpkin Wall is shining once again in south Charlotte.

The 21-year-old Halloween tradition in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood features dozens of carved pumpkins on display — each more festive and scarier than the last.

The wall is a Halloween favorite for those new and old to the Queen City.

“It brings the community together, it brings families together. Multi-generations. You’ll see grandparents all the way down to great grandkids,” said Hardin Minor with the Elizabeth Neighborhood Association.

“This is amazing! We just moved here, to Charlotte, a few months ago, and just to see the community like this and all the kids are out, we love it,” Andrew Schuman said.

The wall is standing tall at 2017 Greenway Avenue and will be lit every night through Halloween. It will be taken down on November 2.
