Four years later, search for missing Illinois mother Melissa Trumpy continues

SHANNON, Ill. (WTVO) — Melissa Trumpy has been missing for four years, and local law enforcement continues to search for her.

Trumpy, a mother of three, was traveling from Wisconsin to Shannon, Illinois, when she disappeared on October 26th, 2021. Her vehicle was found the next day in Stephenson County, but she has not been seen since.

The sheriff’s office assures that the case has not been forgotten and they are actively pursuing all leads.

Recent ground and water searches were conducted last week as part of the ongoing investigation.

New search warrants have been issued as new information develops in the case.
