43-year-old man shot near Jewell-Osco in South Shore on Saturday afternoon, Chicago police looking for suspects

CHICAGO — Chicago police are looking for suspects in a shooting that happened Saturday afternoon near the Jewell-Osco in South Shore.

According to police, a 43-year-old man was on the street in the 1500 block of East 75th Street when he was approached by four unknown offenders just before 4 p.m. Police say the offenders took out handguns and fired shots at the victim, who was hit in the ankle area.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in good condition, according to police.

Nobody is in custody, and area detectives are investigating.
