2 men critically injured in shooting on Indy’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway after two men were critically injured in a shooting on Indy’s west side Friday night.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, around 11:10 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 1500 block of Bailey Drive on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located two men with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. They were both reported to be in critical condition, police said.

Investigators are investigating if the shooting was domestic-related. Police said handguns were found inside and outside of the house.

Police said there were several people inside the home at the time of the shooting, including two children under the age of five. No other injuries were reported.

No additional information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.
