The properties, located at 3835 Southwest 29th Street and 3825 Southwest 29th Street, needs to be rezoned from a C-4 Commercial District and a Two Family Dwelling District to a C-2 Commercial District to allow for the development of a new automobile service station type I.
In the public comment, neighbors brought up issues like crime, property value and traffic, but the planning commission approved the recommendation for the rezoning. Now, it will be up to the Topeka City Council to vote on whether or not to move forward with the QuikTrip’s construction.
