NATCHITOCHES, La. (WNTZ) – The Northwestern State men’s basketball team will return to national television this season, as the Southland Conference and CBS Sports Network announced Tuesday that the Demons’ Jan. 26 matchup at Stephen F. Austin will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.

Tipoff for the game in Nacogdoches, Texas, is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The appearance marks Northwestern State’s first game on a national cable network since the 2025 Southland Conference Tournament semifinal against McNeese, which aired on ESPNU.

The Jan. 26 contest is one of five Southland Conference games scheduled to air on CBS Sports Network during the 2025–26 season. Other televised matchups include Lamar at McNeese (Jan. 2), UIW at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi (Feb. 2), Nicholls at Lamar (Feb. 23), and McNeese at Nicholls (March 2).

CBS Sports Network is available through cable and satellite providers nationwide.

Additional nationally televised Southland matchups are expected to be announced later this week.
