South Beloit woman beaten unconscious, suspect arrested for attempted homicide

SOUTH BELOIT, Ill. (WTVO) — A South Beloit man has been accused of nearly beating a woman to death earlier this week.

According to the South Beloit Police Department, on October 15th, officers were called to a home for a domestic battery call and found a woman who had been beaten unconscious.

Authorities identified Aquaylis Moore, 24, as the suspect in the case. Police said he was already wanted for a probation violation. The victim had previously filed a restraining order against him for a prior battery case, police said.

Moore was located and arrested on October 17th, police said.

He now faces charges of attempted homicide and aggravated domestic battery.
