By rssfeeds-admin MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Authorities are searching for the owner of an unmanned, partially sunken boat found in the Rock River on Wednesday morning.
First responders from both North Park and Loves Park fire departments were called to the Bauer Parkway bridge for a possible water rescue.
When they arrived, they spotted a boat about 200 yards south of the bridge that had started to sink.
Witnesses told authorities that they had seen someone at the boat dock at approximately 5 a.m., loading or unloading the boat.
The boat was towed back to the dock, and police are attempting to locate the owner, officials said.
