
As Halloween quickly approaches, Amazon is gearing up for the busy holiday season. The company announced efforts to hire 250,000 seasonal employees, including 11,500 in Pennsylvania alone.
The company stated that the available positions may vary and are usually filled quickly. Those interested are encouraged to check back frequently for any new open positions throughout the season by clicking here.
The job search page touts that the company just raised wages “by a lot.” Additional benefits, according to Amazon, include:
- Flexible scheduling options
- Average wage of more than $19 per hour
- Opportunity to earn extra income during the holiday season
- Total compensation now averaging more than $30 per hour (including elected benefits)
- Up to 35% pay increase for employees with 3+ years of service
- Healthcare plans starting at $5 per week with $5 doctor visit copays
- Additional benefits, including paid parental leave

The company is also working to expand same-day delivery options in rural Pennsylvania.
