According to officials with the Columbus Police Department, officers received a call regarding a possible crash near State Street and Fairview Drive at around 8:13 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived at the scene, officials said that they located a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle, as well as its driver, later identified as 19-year-old Isai Quintana-Solis.
The department stated that the reason why the motorcycle left the roadway continues to be under investigation. However, officials stated that it left the roadway “some time before it was discovered Saturday morning.”
The Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office stated that Quintana-Soliz died from blunt force trauma and the manner of death has been ruled accidental. The office is also conducting toxicology testing, which officials said remains pending.
The accident reconstruction team, made up of members of the Columbus Police Department and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, is working to determine when the crash occurred and what factors could have been involved.
