New Orleans City Council race results for Oct. 11, 2025, elections

Council At Large

Matthew Willard won the seat for Council at Large Division 1 with 59% of the vote. Willard received 58,903 votes.

Democrat Willard ran against Democrat Delisha Boyd and Republican Matthew “Matt” Hill.

J.P. Morrell won the seat for Council at Large Division 2 with 65% of the vote. Morrell received 65,198 votes.

Democrat Morrell ran against Democrat Kenneth Cutno and Democrat Gregory Manning.

Council District A

Democrat Holly Friedman and Democrat Aimee McCarron will enter a runoff for the Council District A seat.

Friedman received 38% of the vote and McCarron received 32% of the vote.

Friedman and McCarron ran against Democrat Alex Mossing, No Party Robert “Bob” Murrell and Republican Bridget Neal.

Council District C

Freddie King III won the seat for Council District C with 63% of the vote. King received 12,195 votes.

King ran against Green Party Eliot S. Barron, Democrat Kelsey Foster and No Party Jackson Kimbrell.

Council District D

Eugene Green won the seat for Council District D with 66% of the vote. Green received 14,872 votes.

Democrat Green ran against Democrat Belden “Noonie Man” Batiste and No Party Leilani Heno.

Council District E

Democrat Cyndi Nguyen and Democrat Jason Hughes will enter a runoff for the Council District E seat.

Nguyen received 45% of the vote and Hughes received 36% of the vote.

Nguyen and Hughes ran against Democrat Richard Bell, Sr., Democrat Kimberly Burbank, Democrat Danyelle Christmas, No Party Nathaniel Jones, Democrat Willie Morgan, No Party Gavin Richard and No Party Jonathan Anthony Roberts.
