According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Andre Marquese Kearney, 31, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was pulled over on I-88 at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Authorities discovered the drugs in the trunk of the car, police said.
Kearney was wanted on a Kane County warrant at the time of his arrest.
He has been charged with possession of cannabis with intent to manufacture or deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis, and the Kane County warrant for unlawful possession of cannabis.
Kearney was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
