The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Phillip Honeycutt II, 35, after authorities received a complaint of a driver going off the road, swerving in traffic, and almost causing multiple crashes.
This was around 7:09 p.m. on Sunday, September 15th.
Deputies were able to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle at W. Main Street and Washington Street.
Police said Stephanie Foster, 34, and her juvenile daughter were passengers in the vehicle, resulting in the charge of child endangerment.
Foster was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis for a small amount of the drug which deputies reportedly found on her person. She was released from custody at the scene.
Honeycutt was taken to the DeKalb County Jail on additional charges of DUI, suspended registration, no insurance, no lights when required, and speeding.
He was released with a notice to appear at a future court date, under provisions of the Illinois Pretrial Fairness Act.
Police said the Department of Child and Human Services (DCFS) was notified of the incident.
