Felony charges filed against man accused of sexually assaulting woman during Northwest Side home invasion
According to Chicago police, 36-year-old Law Davison, an Englewood resident, has been charged with several felonies, including home invasion with a firearm, home invasion with a sex offense, felony possession of a weapon, and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm.
The charges stem from Davison’s alleged role in the break-in, which allegedly unfolded around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, an area bordering the Logan Square and Avondale neighborhoods.
According to police, a Davison allegedly entered a 38-year-old woman’s home in the area and sexually assaulted her before stealing her personal belongings and fleeing the scene.
The woman was later transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in fair condition.
Following the incident, Area Five detectives began an investigation and caught up with Davison the next morning in the 400 block of West 77th Street, where he was taken into custody.
Davison is set to appear in court on Saturday for a detention hearing.
