NAB Show New York: Avid To Feature U.S. Debut Of Avid Content Core

Avid will make the U.S. debut of its Avid Content Core at NAB Show New York (Oct. 22-23 in the Javits Center) at Booth 547. At the event, Avid will demonstrate its cloud-based production and content data platform.

Unveiled last month at IBC 2025, Avid Content Core is being featured alongside Avid NEXIS | Remote — a new storage capability launched in the cloud to enable facility-grade editing from anywhere — together with other solution enhancements and expanded partner integrations that, Avid says, “deliver best-in-class AI, automation, and streaming tools directly into Avid workflows. The showcase underscores Avid’s evolving broadcast and postproduction strategy, which advances cloud and open ecosystem innovation across the company’s portfolio.”

“Avid Content Core marks a transformational step forward for the media industry, bringing content creation, management, and value realization together into a single, cloud-native platform,” said Wellford Dillard, Avid CEO. “We’re excited by the initial feedback from our customers and look forward to seeing them unlock Avid Content Core’s full potential. By unifying these capabilities, we’re helping media organizations unleash creativity, collaborate seamlessly across different locations, maximize the return on their content, and pivot faster to new business models.”

Through the new platform, which received a Best of Show AwardatIBC 2025, Avid is “equipping the media and entertainment industry to move beyond fragmented systems by treating media assets as intelligent, connected data. From global broadcasters and newsrooms to major studios and postproduction facilities, Avid Content Core accelerates output, streamlines operations, boosts return on investment (ROI), reduces total cost of ownership (TCO), and opens opportunities for growth.”

Designed to transcend the limitations of media asset management systems, Avid Content Core “is a content data platform that brings ingest, search, orchestration, and asset intelligence into a single, cloud-native platform — accessible from anywhere via browser-based tools. Processing media assets as interconnected, actionable data rather than isolated files, the platform enables AI-powered search and recommendations, with each media asset receiving a unique fingerprint that enables teams working within the Avid ecosystem to authenticate provenance, track usage, and eventually measure ROI.”

In addition to Avid Content Core, Avid is formally launching Avid NEXIS | Remote at NAB New York – an innovation that brings facility-grade editing performance to distributed teams. Now available for cloud deployment, Avid NEXIS | Remote allows Media Composer users to connect directly to Avid NEXIS storage in the cloud for real-time, high-resolution editing workflows.

With secure smart caching and seamless integration across Avid, Adobe, and other tools, Avid NEXIS | Remote empowers production teams to:

  • Work from anywhere with the same speed and reliability of on-prem setups.
  • Edit directly in Media Composer and Pro Tools with no proxy round-tripping.
  • Optimize cost and flexibility with elastic, scalable cloud storage.

While the cloud version of Avid NEXIS | Remote is available this month, support for Avid NEXIS F-Series will be launched in 2026.

In addition to Avid Content Core and Avid NEXIS | Remote, attendees can experience a full range of integrated solutions and partner demos designed to streamline production, simplify workflows, and accelerate delivery:

  • Wolftech News and MediaCentral integration: Story-centric newsroom planning, creation, and publishing now brought together in a single user interface.
  • Stream IO: Flexible ingest, loop recording, and playout solution for live and fast-turnaround workflows — now with synchronized multi-camera ingest and enhanced bulk export for faster, more efficient media operations.
  • Media Composer panels: Featuring AI integrations from Quickture (transcription and sequence creation), Flawless (dialogue editing), Acclaim Audio (leveling and cleanup), and Streamwell (low-latency live streaming and collaboration).
