Rock and Roll Institute shifts winter camp concerts to Hard Rock Live

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Hard Rock Casino Rockford has announced a new partnership with the Rock and Roll Institute, a non-profit summer camp, to host their winter camp concerts at Hard Rock Live.

The Rock and Roll Institute, founded in 2004, provides a unique opportunity for kids to form a band and perform a concert within a week.

Previously, the camp’s concerts were held at venues such as the Sinnissippi Bandshell, Mendelssohn Center, and District Bar and Grill.

This year, the winter camp concerts will move to Hard Rock Live, allowing for a larger audience.

“We were consistently drawing large crowds for our shows. Through friends, connections, and a parent of one of our campers introducing us to someone on the production team, we began discussions about a partnership. And here we are,” said Christina Valdez, president of the Rock and Roll Institute.

The institute’s winter camp is set to begin on December 29th, with the culminating concert scheduled for January 2nd at Hard Rock Live.
