Docs: Child molesting charges for Kokomo man go back to 2008

KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man was arrested after he was charged with multiple counts of child molestation and neglect, including charges dating back to 2008.

According to a news release from the Kokomo Police Department, a report was filed with the Kokomo Police Department in October 2024 regarding child molestation allegations. The man was identified as 48-year-old Sieyumbe Arrington.

“The detailed investigation identified multiple other victims who alleged sexual misconduct,” the release said.

On Monday, an arrest warrant for Arrington was issued as a result of the investigation. Arrington was taken into custody on Wednesday on the following charges:

• One count of child molesting, a Level A felony from 2008
• One count of neglect of a dependent, a Level D felony from 2008
• One count of child molesting, a Level A felony from 2012
• One count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony from 2015
• Two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, each a Level 4 felony from 2017
• One count of child molesting, a Level 1 felony from 2020
• One count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony from 2020
• One count of neglect of a dependent, a Level 6 felony from 2020

On Wednesday, a search warrant was also conducted at Arrington’s home, the release said.
