Semi-truck hauling applesauce rolls over, shuts down part of I-57 in Franklin Co.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) – A semi-truck spilled applesauce all over I-57 in Franklin County after it rolled over Monday morning. No injuries were reported.

State Police told WCIA that they responded to a report of the single-vehicle crash around 4:38 a.m. at milepost 76 on I-57. According to ISP, the semi-truck rolled over, resulting in the spill. 

Two lanes were shut down for a few hours, but everything reopened around 8:45 a.m. The cause of the crash is unknown, and police did not say how many gallons of applesauce were spilled.

No further information is available at this time, police added.
