Sixth Avenue to go under construction until next year

TOPEKA (KSNT) – More road work is coming to Topeka. Starting Monday, construction will start on Southeast 6th Ave. from Golden Ave. to Rice Rd. The four phase project is for improvement to the roadway, the bridge over deer creek and stormwater utilities. It’s also full of reconstruction of the 6th and Golden intersection.

Kansas State Treasurer awards $1.5 million in grants

As a result, traffic will be limited to one direction both ways on 6th Ave. The project is expected to take until next fall.
