Fleet Week begins — but without this major attraction

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Fleet Week is one of San Francisco’s biggest and most exciting traditions.

Drawing crowds to the waterfront, for ship tours and, of course, the Blue Angels. But this year, things will look very different.

A government shutdown is grounding part of the celebration. Normally, during Fleet Week, you’d hear the roar of the Blue Angels.

However, not this year…
