Rock County crash sends two to hospital with severe injuries

ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WTVO) — Two Janesville men suffered severe injuries in crash at the intersection of S Highway 14 and E Highway 11 early Monday morning.

According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash around 6:19 a.m.

According to investigators, a Saturn Ion, driven by a 22-year-old man, was westbound on E Hwy 11 and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a Chevrolet Trax, driven by a 34-year-old man.

The driver of the Saturn had to be extricated from his vehicle, authorities said.

Both men were taken to local hospitals after suffering severe injuries, police added.

The crash is still under investigation.
