BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana’s redistricting fight heads back to the Supreme Court on Oct. 15.

Louisiana AG files brief to US Supreme Court; argues race-based redistricting unconstitutional

The case centers on how the state’s congressional boundaries were drawn following the 2020 Census and whether they violate federal law.

Coming up this week in Louisiana politics is the primary election on Saturday, Oct. 11. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is Oct. 7. Mail-in ballots must reach the registrar’s office by Oct. 10.
