Silver Alert issued for missing 14-year-old from Cass County
CASS COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 14-year-old from Cass County.

In a press release, ISP reported that Kairi Maier was last seen on Sept. 29 at 3:30 a.m. Maier was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue gym shorts and baby blue shoes at the time of her disappearance.

Police described Maier as a 5-foot, 110-pound, brown-haired, brown-eyed girl.

ISP indicated that Maier is believed to be in extreme danger and possibly in need of medical assistance.

Previous reporting indicates Maier is from Galveston. In the release it sent Saturday, however, ISP reported that Maier is from Logansport.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office — the agency tasked with investigating the case — has indicated that Maier was last seen at her home in Galveston. Cass County investigators reported that Maier was believed to be trying to visit members of her family in Hamilton County when she first went missing.

State police are asking those with information on Maier’s whereabouts to call 911 or contact the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at (574) 722-6060.

As of this article’s publication, no additional information on Maier’s whereabouts had been made available.
