Power restored after outage in Hennepin County on Sunday

A power outage affected thousands in Hennepin County on Sunday.

According to Xcel Energy’s power outage map, residents in Mound, Minnetonka, and Minnetrista have reported the largest number of outages, although other locations have also experienced power loss.

Around 2:20 p.m., Xcel estimated that the outage was impacting over 10,000 people. As of 4 p.m., most power had been restored.

Xcel Energy has not given a reason for the outage.
