Jalon Daniels finished the day 18-26 for 235 yards. He connected with six different targets, his favorite being Cam Pickett who finished with five receptions for 64 yards.
KU improved to 4-2 on the season with a 2-1 mark in Big 12 play.
UCF came out swinging when Myles Montgomery found the endzone from 29 yards out to give the Knights the early advantage.
Montgomery would open the second quarter with a touchdown from the one-yard line to give UCF a 14-0 lead.
The Jayhawks would get on the board on the following drive as Leshon Williams capped off a nine play, 75-yard drive with a one-yard rushing score.
Williams would get his second score of the game late in the second quarter from 4 yards out as the Jayhawks trailed 20-14 at the break.
UCF rushed for 162 yards in the first half against KU.
Out of the half, Kansas would knock in a pair of field goals to tie the game before Williams found the endzone for the third time Saturday night, to give the Jayhawks the 27-20 edge.
The touchdown was set up after Jalen Dye got the sack and caused a fumble near the goal line.
