Get a free tattoo and prizes at Velvet Taco’s pop-up

DALLAS (KDAF) — Velvet Taco is redefining National Taco Day by combining bold taco innovation with tattoo artistry in an exclusive Dallas tattoo pop-up experience.

From 4-8 p.m. on National Taco Day, Tuesday, Oct. 7, Velvet Taco will partner with Rebel Muse Tattoo, a top tattoo studio known for custom designs and talented artists, to host a live tattoo pop-up at its Greenville Avenue restaurant in

Dallas. Guests can start lining up at 2 p.m. in front of the restaurant by the Airstream where three tattoo artists will ink free taco-inspired designs from a custom flash sheet inside an airstream in front of the restaurant.

The first guest bold enough to get the Velvet Taco brooch logo tattoo will earn free tacos for an entire year through weekly Velvet Room rewards. All Velvet Taco locations nationwide will distribute temporary tattoos on National Taco Day.

Velvet Taco’s National Taco Day celebration will also debut the Japanese Katsu Curry taco, the winning WTF creation from Ryan, a guest from College Station and winner of this year’s fourth annual WTF (Weekly Taco Feature) Recipe Contest. The guest-created masterpiece features panko tenders, Japanese curry, pickled daikon and carrots, buttered cilantro basmati rice, pickled fresnos, scallions and furikake wrapped in a flour tortilla.

Velvet Room loyalty members can participate in the Taco Week Challenge Oct. 5-11 in which guests who purchase a taco during this period will receive a free taco reward, distributed on Monday, Oct. 13, and redeemable through Friday, Oct. 17.

Additionally, Velvet Taco will do an Instagram giveaway from Oct. 7-10 where 15 winners across other Velvet Taco markets will each receive a gift card for their taco tattoo of choice.
