Buildings destroyed in Harvey fire Wednesday night

HARVEY, La. (WGNO) — Two firefighters are recovering after fighting a blaze in Harvey Wednesday, Oct. 1.

WGNO’s Richie Cruz and a witness were able to get video of the flames in the 2100 block of Alamo Avenue around 9 p.m.

The video shows two buildings and five suites were damaged.

The Harvey Volunteer Fire Department and the Marrero-Estelle Volunteer Fire Department worked to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
