Tyler James Anthony Guerin, 30, of Morgan City was arrested and charged with a sexual battery felony and simple assault in connection with the disturbance, deputies reported.
According to deputies, they responded to a local hotel after learning that a large fight was taking place at the pool which occurred last Friday. When officials arrived they said Guerin appeared to have bleeding from his head and described him to be irate.
During the investigation, it was learned from a victim and several witnesses that Guerin approached a small group of young women in the pool and began asking their age. Guerin allegedly made advances toward an 18-year-old woman, who reported that Guerin grabbed her in a private area of her body, deputies said.
Later on, relatives of the victim and witnesses arrived on scene, where they verbally confronted Guerin and stated that Guerin allegedly exited the pool and threw a punch at a male on scene, which led to a physical disturbance. The witnesses appeared to substantiate the allegations made by the victim, deputies reported.
Due to the nature of the investigation, the identity of the victim is being withheld.
Deputies said Guerin was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and later released on a $2,000 bond.
