Power knocked out in part of Manhattan: Evergy

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Numerous residents and businesses are without power Monday in the Little Apple due to a power outage.

Evergy reports that just over 1,300 of its customers are experiencing an outage on Sept. 29 in west Manhattan. The outage was first reported just after 10:30 a.m. and is estimated to be repaired by a little after noon.

The Riley County Police Department encourages drivers in Manhattan to treat all intersections within the outage area as four-way stops. The outage area includes major intersections such as Kimball Avenue and Browning Avenue, Claflin Road and Seth Child Road along with Anderson Avenue and Seth Child Road.
