One dead, two injured after Berks crash

PLEASANT VALLEY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man is dead and two others were taken to an area hospital after a crash Saturday night.

The crash happened in the 5000 block of Bernville Road in Penn Township, Berks County, around 8pm Saturday night.

According to State Police at Reading, a 2008 Subaru heading northbound crossed into the opposite lane and struck a 2022 Nissan head-on.

The driver of the Subaru, 47-year-old Mac Iwinski, of Bernville, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Berks County Coroner’s Office.

The driver and a passenger from the Nissan were taken to Reading Hospital.
