Police: Driver killed in Berks County crash

ONTELAUNEE TWP., Pa. (WHTM) — A driver was killed Thursday morning in a crash near Reading, police said.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. near 5672 Allentown Pike (Route 222) in Ontelaunee Township, according to Northern Berks Regional Police.

Officers said a vehicle crashed into a parked trailer.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Berks County Coroner’s Office and Berks County Accident Reconstruction Team responded.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
