Starbucks is shutting down multiple Fresno locations

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Multiple Starbucks locations in Fresno, including one that only opened last year, are set to permanently close this weekend.

When YourCentralValley.com called the stores on Friday to confirm the closures, staff we spoke to told us they found out that their store was closing the day before.

The closures in Fresno are part of a worldwide restructuring effort by Starbucks

as it continues to focus on its “Back to Starbucks” plan, laying off 900 non-retail employees. The Seattle coffee giant said store closures would start immediately.

Starbucks said affected employees would be offered severance packages and transferred to other locations if possible.

The Fresno locations YourCentralValley.com has confirmed are closing are:

  • Peach & Olive, located at 1286 N Peach Avenue (which opened in 2024)
  • Ashlan & West, located at 4116 N. West Avenue, in the Westlan Shopping Center
  • Blackstone & Herndon, located at 6740 N Blackstone Avenue (near Domino’s Pizza)
  • Blackstone & Barstow, located at 5347 N. Blackstone Avenue (near Panda Express and Whities Pets)

According to their website, these locations will permanently close on Sunday, September 28.
